Ranjit has 34 years of teaching experience in High Schools in Fiji as well as in New Zealand.  His major subject areas are technology hard materials, engineering, graphics and design.  He has been an Engineering Tutor for the past 8 years.

Evelyn Salendra

Postion: Literacy and Numeracy Specialist

Campus: Manukau

Evelyn has 22 years of Primary Teaching experience in various schools.  She is passionate for the subject area and has a role of a specialist tutor in the Tertiary Sector for the last 8 years.  She also has experience in teaching ESOL (English for the speakers of other languages) and taught as a Literacy and Numeracy tutor at Literacy Aotearoa in New Zealand for 4 years.

Embedded Literacy and Numeracy is delivered at the Manukau branch in Auckland.

Qualifications: Diploma in Teaching, Diploma in Hindi Language, National Certificate in Adult Education (Level 4 & 5)

William has been the automotive tutor for the Otara campus for the last 5 years.  He has over 30 years experience in the automotive industry and is a very humble and co-operative person.

Inoke Colavanua

Postion: Trades Tutor

Campus: Manukau

Has been an apprentice in the Panel Beating trade and has 10 years work experience in the industry. Taught for 14 years at the Fiji Institute of Technology before becoming the Program Leader in the last three years with the Institute. Has been with Advanced Training Academy since 2007 as a Panel Beating tutor.  Inoke likes to share his knowledge and experience with interested learners and loves facing challenges. 

Qualifications: Trade Cert in Panel Beating L4 (Fiji Institute of Technology), International Diploma in Tertiary Teaching L5 (F.I.T./A.I.T.), Workplace Assessor 4098 (TPAF), Certificate in Adult Education and Training (MIT).

 

 

 

 

Amza Ali

Amza has 20 years of experience in the Furniture and Upholstery Industry, with leading roles in some of the biggest names in New Zealand manufactured furniture.

Amza is a real craftsman and is passionate to transfer his skills to students. A variety of opportunities are made available to students from the design, manufacture and upholstering of new chairs and couches through to the recovering of a wide range of traditional suites and chairs.

The successful completion of this course will put the students in a good position to gain employment in the furniture and motor trimming industry as well as an advantage to learn the basics of Marine Upholstery.

Qualifications: Adult Education Level 4, Upholstery and Furniture Recovery Level 4, Completed units towards becoming an Upholstery Assessor
