Devika has 9 years of New Zealand teaching experience in the Business and Computing discipline and 3 years experience being a Programme Manager. Her specialist teaching areas are Computing, Business Administration, Management and Economics. She has experience in Qualification and Unit standard writing and has been an NZQA Moderator for the New Zealand Diploma in Business papers and NQF unit standards. Devika also has 9 years of administration experience.

Prior to coming to New Zealand, Devika was a secondary school teacher in Fiji.

Devika is responsible for all the Programmes being delivered at the Advanced Training Academy.

Qualifications: Bachelor of Arts (Management & Economics), National Certificate in Adult Education and Training (L4 & L5), Secondary Teacher Training Certificate (Accounting & Economics), currently working towards the Diploma in Adult Education and Training (L5).

Wiremu Bayliss

Position: Campus Manager

Campus: Hamilton

Wiremu is a career educator working in the private and public tertiary sectors for over 13 years. He has also had over seven years of academic management and development experience. Wiremu describes education as a passion forged in a fridge magnet. He says, I was once given a small gift, a fridge magnet by a former manager of mine. The words simply said teaching is a work of heart which I firmly believe. That formed my passion for education.

Wiremu is studying through Massey University for a Bachelor of Education (Adult Education). Success can come at any time. I never got school cert, sixth form cert or bursary, all my educational success came later in life so it's never too late to achieve.

Qualifications: New Zealand Diploma in Business, Diploma in Management, Advanced Certificate in Tertiary Teaching.
