Domestic Students
Entry Criteria:
Applicants must be aged under 18, and meet the eligibility criteria of Tertiary Education Commission (TEC).
Course Summary:
The course aims to provide students with a basic theoretical and applied knowledge in areas vital to the computing industry, which will enable them to begin their working lives. Students will learn Microsoft Applications such as Word, Excel, Access and computer theory with the employment skills needed to enter the workforce or continue further training. Tuition in literacy and numeracy is a component of the course which helps up-skill students in writing and mathematical skills.
Career Opportunities:
The Course is designed to help students work with computers in a variety of ways that allows them to gain confidence and skills for further study or entering workforce in fields of computing and office administration.
Duration: 48 weeks (Full Time).
Intakes: January, but applicants can join the course at any time during the year when a vacancy becomes available.
Qualifications: National Certificate in Computing Level 2, and National Certificate in Employment Skills Level 1.
Day Classes: 9:00am to 3:30pm (or as per timetable).
